Już po raz 16. brytyjskie GQ przyznało nagrody "Men of the Year". To jedna z niewielu imprez, na której to mężczyźni są ważniejsi (również na czerwonym dywanie!). Tegorocznymi laureatami tego wyróżnienia zostali: Michael Douglas ("Legenda GQ"), Tom Ford ("projektant GQ"), Russell Brand ("wyroczia GQ"), Arctic Monkeys ("zespół GQ") oraz Emma Watson ("kobieta GQ"). I to oni znaleźli się na październikowych okładkach magazynu dla panów.
Statuetki przyznano w 24 kategoriach, wśród finalistów znaleźli się m. in. Eddie Redmayne, Noel Gallagher, Pharrell Williams, burmistrz Londynu Boris Johnson, Piers Morgan, sir Elton John, Lou Reed i Andy Murray.
Galę ponownie zorganizowano w londyńskim Royal Opera House.
